I’m a sweet, sassy girl with plenty of personality, and I can’t wait to find my forever family. I love my puppy sister – we wrestle, chase each other, and have a blast running around the yard. I love being outside, whether I’m lounging in the sun, patrolling the fence line, or keeping an eye on the neighbors. But don’t worry, I also enjoy stretching out on the couch or curling up in my crate for a nap.
I’m a smart girl who already knows all my basics—sit, down, stay, and recall. I’m house-trained and crate-trained, and I settle quickly in my kennel when left alone. I even ride nicely in the car, usually stretched out in the backseat. On walks, I’m good at keeping pace and minding my manners, unless another dog passes by, I can get a little too excited, but with training and redirection, I’m getting better everyday.
I absolutely adore people! I get so excited when visitors come over that it can take me a little while to calm down. With kids, I’m best with older ones who won’t mind my jumpy enthusiasm. Cats and sprinklers aren’t my thing, but toys? Yes, please! Fetch and my favorite powered ball are at the top of my list.
The perfect home for me would have a fenced yard (I’m a girl who loves her outdoor time) and a family that appreciates my playful energy but also knows how to help me settle down. With proper introductions, I could live with another dog, though I’d also be happy soaking up all the attention myself.
If you’re looking for a loving, lively, and loyal companion, I just might be your girl.
This little beauty came to hart’s attention during the cold snap in January. She had some old bite marks on the end of her nose and a very wormy belly. As the temperature has warmed up, Navy has been recovering and is ready for adoption. Navy is up to date on DACPP, Bordatella and is spayed and microchipped. Should an adoption be finalized before the Rabies vaccine is administered (this vaccination can be administered at 4-6 months of age) that vaccination will become the responsibility of the adoptive parent.
Navy is a playful, social girl who’s practicing calmer greetings when visitors arrive. On walks, she can be vocal and animated when she sees other dogs, so she’ll do best with positive reinforcement, redirection, and slower introductions. She’s crate and house trained, knows her basics, and will thrive with someone who wants to understand her and work together to build a strong bond.
