Hello! I’m Lady, a sweet and spirited dog with a heart full of love and a little bit of sass to keep things interesting.
I might be a big girl, but don’t let that fool you—I’m as gentle as they come, especially with kids. I love meeting new people. I’m a bit selective when it comes to making friends with other dogs—I might be more likely to prefer my own space. However, with the proper introduction I have been able to make a few close friends to play individually with. In the past, I have made some friends with cats.
Walks are one of my favorite things. I love sniffing around. I’m still getting the hang of leash manners. Since I’m a strong girl, I do best with a harness. My foster family is helping me learn not to pull, and I’ve found that a steady pace and calm encouragement work wonders.
I’m great in the car, too—if I had my way, I’d be riding shotgun every time!
At home, I’m a mix of chill and playful. I love my toys, especially my purple one, and I’ll happily hoard them in my favorite spot on my bed. I get the zoomies sometimes which is pretty darn cute. You should know I am a bit of a cuddle bug, though I like to have my space now and then.
While I’ve got a bit of a Houdini streak in me, I’m really just looking for a family that understands my quirks and loves me for who I am. If you’re ready for a dog with a lot of love to give and a personality that’ll keep you smiling, I’m your girl. Let’s make some memories together!

Lady came to hart with a face full of porcupine quills and a very significant infection. She underwent surgery to remove the visible quills and has since gone in for 2 more surgical procedures to extract more quills. Because of the advanced state of her infection upon arrival, Lady has also gone through multiple rounds of antibiotics and drains for abscesses. It has been quite the process for Lady to heal but the whole time she kept showing us signs of the happy dog that she is. Adoptive parents for Lady need to be aware that while she has undergone surgeries for the removal of quills, they can continue to migrate and erupt for up to a year. Lady is up to date on DACPP, Bordatella, Rabies and is spayed and microchipped.

Lady knows how to sit and is working on basic training.   Lady is also working on leash training.  Lady is a friendly girl and enjoys dog company after slow introductions.  Lady is a curious pooch we requires a secure yard to ensure she does not wander.
