Hi, I’m Prue!

I’m a two-year-old pup with a big heart and a wagging tail, looking for my forever family. My foster mom says I’m the perfect mix of sweet, affectionate, and a little silly. I love being close to my people—sometimes I’ll gently rest a paw on you just to remind you I’m there, and if you scratch my belly, I’ll flip right over with a big smile.

I’ve picked up the nickname Chompers because I make these funny little chomping sounds after licking my lips—it always makes my foster family laugh! I can also be a bit “chatty,” with soft whines of excitement when you come home or when I see the cat stroll into the room.

Day to day, I’m pretty relaxed. I like to lounge on my bed, the couch, or the cool kitchen floor when nothing much is happening. But when it’s playtime, I’m ready to go! I love running and chasing with my foster dog sibling, and I’m learning that stuffies and balls are fun (though I still haven’t figured out the whole “fetch” part yet).

Meeting new people and exploring new places is exciting for me. I might pause at first, just to take it all in, but I warm up quickly and love attention. I get along with kids, other dogs, and even cats—sometimes I want to be friends with them a bit more then they want to be friends  with me.

Since I’m still young, I can be a bit mischievous—like carrying shoes or nibbling on something I shouldn’t—but I’m a quick learner and eager to please. With some guidance, love, and consistency, I’ll grow into the amazing companion I’m meant to be.

Prue came to hart from the CATF Spay/Neuter Clinic in Northern Alberta. Prue is up to date on DACPP, Bordatella, and Rabies vaccinations. She has been microchipped and spayed.

Prue is a sweet, affectionate young dog who loves attention and enjoys being close to her people. She’s calm and relaxed at home but can still show some puppy-like habits such as pawing or jumping for attention. Prue does well meeting new people and dogs, though she can be cautious in new situations and prefers slow introductions. She walks nicely on leash, settles quickly, and responds well to consistency and gentle structure. With patience and positive reinforcement, Prue will continue to grow into a confident, well-mannered companion.
