Hi there! I’m Lily, a sweet and energetic girl who’s ready to find my forever family. I have a lot of love to give and am happiest when I’m close to my people. If you’re looking for a loyal companion, I might be your perfect match!
I’m full of energy and love to stay active. Walks and runs are my favorite—though I do get so excited that I pull on the leash a bit. When I’m home, I enjoy playing with my foster brother and lying by my person’s side. I’m crate trained and often curl up in there for naps, especially if I need some quiet time.
I’ve been great with kids, and I warm up to new people quickly, even if I’m a little shy at first. I love getting pets and will happily soak up all the attention you’ll give me. I haven’t met any cats yet, so I’m not sure how I’d feel about them, but I’d probably love having a dog friend my size to play with.
I’m also pretty smart! I know how to sit, lie down, and shake a paw. I’m working on “stay,” but I just want to be near you all the time. I’ll talk to you when I’m bored (I think I might have some husky in me!) and keep you laughing with my quirky squirrel-staring habit.
If you have a yard, love staying active, and want a sweet, trainable companion, I’m your girl. Let’s meet soon—I can’t wait to be your best friend!
Lily was born into HART’s care in 2020 (Y Litter) and was recently returned back to HART due to no fault of her own. Initially came in with some food sensitivities but has resolved since adding fibre to her diet and may require regular anal gland expressions Lily is up to date on her standard antiparasitics, vaccinations (DACPP, Bordatella, Rabies), is microchipped and spayed.
Lily is looking for a home that will continue to support her growth. On walks, Lily can sometimes react when she sees other dogs. With a little distance, tasty treats, and supportive handling, she’s learning to feel more calm and confident.
In the past, Lily has shown mild resource guarding around food when other dogs were nearby. In a new environment, this behavior could resurface. With awareness and management, it’s something her family can easily navigate
Lily could happily live with a compatible dog after slow, structured introductions. A secure yard would give her a relaxed space to explore and unwind.
With a little patience and positive reinforcement, Lily will reward you with endless affection, a loyal heart, and the unmatched joy of seeing a wonderful dog truly blossom.
