Ulysses was brought into care with his mom and littermates during the cold snap last December just days after birth. No health concerns were noted.
In February, Ulysses and his littermates became lethargic and had diarrhea. Parvo was highly suspected and confirmed with a SNAP test upon arrival at one of our veterinary partners. Parvovirus is a particularly deadly disease in young puppies, causing gastrointestinal tract damage and dehydration. Fortunately, hart was able to provide the supportive treatments that Ulysses needed – IV fluids, antibiotics, pain medication and anti-emetics. Ulysses has made a full recovery.
He is up to date with his vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped.
Ulysses is a happy go lucky boy who loves everyone and everything, especially his doggie friends! He would really do best in a home with another dog, as he is still learning and has a lot of energy to burn. He would love to be in an active household with a large yard to play and run.
