Hey there, potential adopters! I’m Dojo, the adorable pup with a heart full of love and a personality that’ll steal your heart. Let me give you the lowdown on what makes me the perfect addition to your family.

I’ve got that playful puppy vibe, but I know when it’s time to recharge. Daily walks, play sessions, and some quality fetch time keep me happy and content. When it comes to other furry friends, I’m a social butterfly. I get along great with my foster parent’s resident dog and cat. We play, we learn, and occasionally, I get a little too excited. But hey, who can resist some good playtime?

I’m a people person (or should I say, a people pup?). Strangers, guests, or just random folks on walks – I get excited! Working on keeping my paws on the ground when guests arrive, though. Gotta show off those manners, right?

I ask to go out when nature calls, and accidents are a rare occurrence. Crate time is my chill time. I’m a pro sleeper, with just a single whine before drifting off. I even like my crate during the day – it’s like my own cozy den.  I’ll sit like a pro, and we’re mastering the art of “stay” and “down.” A little more practice, and I’ll be a real showstopper.

Now, let’s talk about how I handle physical touch. I’m a work in progress, but I’m getting there. I’m okay with all sorts of cuddles and pets, but when it comes to handling my feet, collar, or peeking in my mouth, I get a bit defensive. I’m working on it, and with your patience, I’ll become a pro in no time. 

A few fun facts about me: I love to cuddle, I’ve got these adorable “angel wings” on my back, and my ears? Softest things you’ll ever touch. Did I mention I snore? Especially when I’m upside down, which happens to be my favorite sleeping position.

Now, the ideal home for me? I’m versatile. A big yard would be awesome, but it’s not a deal-breaker. So, what do you say? Ready to welcome a lovable, cuddly, and downright adorable pup into your home? I promise, I’ll bring tons of joy and endless puppy love. Adopt me, and let the adventures begin!

Dojo came to hart from our community of focus with a little cough and some eye discharge. Because of a distemper outbreak in the area, out of an abundance of caution, Dojo visited our vet partners. Good news is that his tests were all clear. Dojo is up to date with DACPP, Bordatella, Rabies and is neutered and microchipped and ready to move in with his adoptive family.

Dojo is touch sensitive to his collar and leash and during exams. Dojo doesn’t like hands coming around his head/shoulders. Dojo and his foster home are incorporating desensitization into his training.
