Hi! I’m Carter, and I’m a happy, playful puppy who’s still figuring out how the world works—one cuddle and wrestling match at a time. I’m a friendly little guy who loves people, attention, and pretty much any chance to play. When I’m all tuckered out, you’ll often find me snoozing on my back like I own the place, usually close to my favorite humans.

I really love playing with other dogs—especially wrestling and a good game of tug-of-war. I’ve been living with a dog friend, and we have a blast together. I also live with a cat, and while I sometimes think she wants to play like a dog (rude, apparently), I’m learning that not everyone shares my enthusiasm. Other times, I’m totally cool just ignoring her.

I’m still very much a puppy, which means I can get a little mouthy when I’m excited and being pet, and I’m learning my manners—especially around kids. I can be jumpy and nippy at first, but I settle down nicely once the initial excitement wears off.

I’m crate trained and do great sleeping in my kennel at night or when my people are out. I’m mostly potty trained and do best when taken outside after changes in activity. I’m also working on my leash skills (they’re weird, okay?) and learning basic commands like sit and come—I’m catching on quickly!

I’d love a home with a yard, people who understand puppy energy, and a family ready to keep helping me learn and grow. I’ve got a big heart, a playful spirit, and so much love to give.

Could I be your guy?

Carter came to hart in overall good condition. Carter is up to date on DACPP, Bordatella, and Rabies vaccinations. He has been microchipped and neutered.

A big thank you to Ozubko Realty for sponsoring our vaccinations.

Carter is a typical puppy. He is learning manners, leash skills, house training, and excitement during interactions. He gets along with other dogs and the resident cat. With regular routines, enrichment, and positive reinforcement, Carter will thrive as he grows into a well-rounded adult dog.
