Hello there! I’m Cara, a well-mannered and charming dog with a heart full of love waiting for the perfect forever home.

I’m a shy and gentle girl who appreciates a calm environment. Raised voices make me a bit uncomfortable, but gentle redirection works wonders. If things get too overwhelming, I might cower a bit, but a reassuring touch helps me feel secure.

My energy level is medium to high, and I thrive with regular exercise. A yard to run, play with balls and toys, and daily walks keep me happy and content. I get particularly excited about treats, toys, and meeting new people. I’m a tail-wagging enthusiast, who enjoys being carried like a toddler and playing in water, especially in a kiddie pool. Don’t worry; I settle down quickly, eager to please and enjoy some quality time.

I’m a social butterfly, getting along famously with other dogs. Playtime and running around with my furry pals are some of my favorite pastimes. While I’m generally okay with cats, I may sometimes mistake them for toys and give them a gentle nose boop.

Around strangers, I may be a bit hesitant initially, but my tail soon starts wagging as I warm up to them. New situations pose no problem for me; I adapt well and embrace the adventure.

In terms of training, I’m a quick learner. I’ve mastered commands like sit, stay, lay, out, and leave it. I’m also house and crate trained, making me a well-behaved companion. While I prefer my personal space for sleeping, I’ll grumble if someone invades my territory – a gentle wake-up call is all I need.

For my ideal forever home, a big yard would be fantastic for my zoomies, and a family with children would be perfect. I adore kids and would make a great companion for them. If you’re looking for a loving and lively addition to your home, I might just be the perfect match. Come meet me, and let’s start our adventure together! 🐾

– Love, Cara

Cara came to hart from the CATF Spay/Neuter Clinic in Maskwacis. Cara’s foster parents noticed that Cara would sit and lay in a butterfly position so when Cara was at the vet for her spay, our vet partners took the opportunity to investigate. Thankfully, nothing of concern was found. Cara is up to date on DACPP, Bordatella and is spayed and microchipped. Cara is up to date on DACPP, Bordatella, Rabies and is spayed and microchipped

Typical puppy- a bit shy, timid and some seperation anxiety.  Will need to continue working on confidence building activites.
