I am not yet full grown and am full of youthful exploratory spirit.  I love people and other dogs. Will I fit with your home? 

Lex came into hart’s care with his brother Lennon when they were found at an abandoned house in our community of focus. While Lennon contracted parvo, Lex did not but did get diagnosed with demodectic mange. Demodectic mange is caused by a tiny mite on the skin that are normal and always present in small numbers but when a dog’s immune system is compromised, the number of mites get out of control. When this happens there can be hair loss, scabbing and sores and the dog is usually itchy and uncomfortable, which is how Lex’s mange presented. Lex has been treated and is on the road to recovery. Lex is up to date with DACPP, Bordatella, Rabies is neutered and microchipped. 

Lex is still a puppy and will need patient adopters that will continue to work with him on leash walking.  Lex can sometimes be uncertain in new environments and may need a little time to warm up.  Lex is very comfortable going for car rides and loves his cuddles once he gets used to new people.
